How you met: You overheard Nikki saying she left John because he wasn't gonna give her kids and she wanted to have some before she got any older. He wasn't really okay but after talking to you he felt better.
When he asked you to be his girlfriend: John took you out to dinner because you both haven't been out alone for a long time. In the middle of dinner John asks Would you be my girlfriend? You grabbed his hand and said yes.
