I look out across the battlefield
Armed and ready
I'm currently hiding...
Waiting for my partner in crime
So we can attack
As I wait I begin to worry
Because no one has come to my side
But this was no time for panic
I got my weapons and set out for battle
I stood in the open field
Ready to strike down the enemy

One left and victory was ours
Adrenaline rushed through me and
My heart raced as I saw the shadow of the enemy coming nearer
I aimed and prepared to shoot
But was stopped in my tracks
As I saw the face of my enemy
Who wasn't my enemy at all,
But in fact my partner in crime
I froze as he prepared to shoot
I couldn't bring myself to fight back
All this time...
I'd been fighting alone
I was the one who wanted this,
Not him.
I forfeited...
I couldn't fight against the one I wanted by my side
