Chapter 5: Lessons Learnt

Lau is motivated by the fact that he adds value to people's lives and he enjoys hearing stories of how people have been positively affected by the Wattpad app.

As a leader he has learnt that patience is key.Sometimes you have a brilliant idea but it is not the right time to put it intopractice. It can also take a while for a great idea to gain momentum, but havingtrust in yourself and what you are doing is important. Lastly, Lau has learntthat a brand will only succeed when it has a purpose and he urges all youngentrepreneurs and innovators to keep this in mind (Sprouter, 2012).
