“H-how could you do this Leila?” I demanded. Nandito kame ngayon sa CR ng girls. I just saw her and my boyfriend Zac naglalandian sa labas. Zac even kissed her on the cheek!
“Audrey we’re not doing anything wrong,” she said.
“You’re not doing anything wrong?! Leila kakaita ko lang sainyo sa labas. Kitang kita ko mga pinaggagawa niyo. I can’t believe you did that to me. Akala ko ba best friends tayo.”
Zac Cortez. First crush, first love, first boyfriend ko.
“Best friends nga tayo.”
“Then WHY?!”
“Fine. Zac and I have been dating since last week. He came to me nung nag-away kayo and I don’t know nagkadevelopan nalang kame without meaning too. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“But you still did.” Yung feeling na gusto mo na maiyak. Kase ang tagal ko nang may gusto kay Zac at nang naging kame na parang ang saya saya ko. He’s sweet and funny. And the thought that your BEST FRIEND was the one who stole him from you makes everything even more painful.
Pero… may ayoko naman na mawala ang best friend ko.
“I think I could forgive my best friend.” Leila smiled. “Lalake lang yan si Zac and if you really like him handa ako magparaya para sa almost sister ko.”
She smiled wider. “Really?” I nodded. “Awww. You are the best best friend ever!!!” She hugged me, I hugged her and everything was alright.
I just really can’t stay mad at her. She’s my bestfriend and I love her so much. Turing ko na sakanya ay parang sariling kong kapatid. And please, I’d rather loose a guy than my bff. Tska first year palang naman kame. Marami pa akong makikilala. I’m in no hurry.
“Basta wag lang mauulit ah?”
“Haha osige. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Hang-out sa bahay after school?”
“You know I’ll say yes,” she said.
It was kind of our tradition that every Friday ,and every other day that we’re free, to go to my house and hang-out. Always my house though. Ayaw niya sa bahay niya kase daw yung mom niya nagwowork and ayaw ng storbo. I don’t even think I’ve been to her house pa. Leila and Zac lasted for only two months. Shocking right? Akala ko nga tatagal sila eh, hindi rin pala. Si Leila nakipag break, sabe niya kase nanawa na daw siya kay Zac. Hindi ko lang alam kung ano pinagsawaan niya and I didn’t bother to ask. Honestly, I was secretly glad that they broke up. Kase parang everytime na magkasama kame ni Lei tapos biglang darating si Zac, it’s like they’re both rubbing it on my face na hindi ako yung pinili ni Zac or ako yung naloko or something. I don’t know. I think I’m just jealous. But I got over it- thankfully.
Hindi nagtagal may nanligaw ulit saken. Si Jay. I’ve known him since grade one. He’s caring, funny and very good looking. He started courting me after a year na naging kame ni Zac so it was summer Sophomores, papasok palang ng third year. What I love most about Jay is that he’s persistent and patient. My parents know him already and boto na daw sila kay Jay. Cool right?
There’s this one time when I got sprained my ankle and I wasn’t able to walk for like a week. Siyempre pinagalitan ako nina mama and told me that I should be more careful daw. Ang nakakatuwa, sinermonan din ako ni Jay. Like super habang sermon na talong talo sa sermon saken nina mama. And even though I can’t go to school, he visits me every day with Leila so he could bring me notes and updates at school. Diba? Ang sweet. But I won’t say yes to him yet. Kailangan ko muna mapatunayan na loyal talaga siya. Ayoko na mangyare yung dati.
