It had been a month since the whole hospital situation. In that time, Jermaine served Erica with their divorce papers and moved in with me.

He wanted to get his own space so that he wouldn't bother me but I told him that was nonsense. I loved having him around me all of the time.

He called his real estate agent the same day we went to the hospital and had his house put on the market.

It sold in two days for a little under asking price but Jermaine didn't care. He just wanted to get out of the house that held so many unwanted memories.

They did a fast sale which left them only five days to move everything out. That was the worse thing that could have happened because Erica came to the house clowning when she found out Jermaine was only going to let her leave with her clothes.

All of her jewelry and other expensive items were to be given away to charity. Erica almost died when the tow truck came for her car. I, on the other hand, couldn't help but to laugh from the inside of the house as she ran down the street chasing the car.

I thought back to that day at the hospital when I walked in and saw Matthew holding Erica's baby.

I can't lie, it hurt like hell when I found out they had never really stopped communicating. I couldn't help but to wonder what I did wrong. What did she have that I didn't? That was the question that ran through my mind but I had to remind myself that I was in the same position as her. I have her man so it's obviously something she has been lacking as well.

My dad called me last week telling me that Erica and Matt were suppose to be getting married once the divorce was final.

Great, just great.

Now whenever I do decide to visit my father at his house, there will always be a chance that I run into them. Yay me.

"What's on your mind?" Jermaine asked, knocking me out of my thoughts.

We were currently cuddled on the couch watching some movie where everything kept blowing up every five seconds.

"Just thinking about all of the things that have occurred in the past month. You went from the brother in law I never paid attention to, into the man I am having a child with. It's just crazy how everything can change drastically so quickly." I replied.

He grabbed the remote and paused the movie before turning back to me.

"I know. Never in a million years did I expected us to be together like this. I just believe that God put people in our lives for a reason. I believe that he put Erica in my life so that I may get to know you. Now I know that I being with you while I was married was wrong on a major level, but the moment I laid eyes on you I knew I was with the wrong person. You were so smart and beautiful and you carried yourself in such an amazing way. I knew I had to have you."

"Wait a minute." He said as he got up and went into the back to our room.

I was confused. He was just here saying all of these wonderful things and then he just walks away from me.

I looked up when I heard his feet hitting the hardwood floor.

He came and stood right in front of me. "Ok. I had this all planned to do at a nice and fancy dinner but I just cant wait any longer."

He got down on one knee.

"Wait, what are you doing?" I asked barely above a whisper.

"April, I knew you were the one for me the moment I first say you. I love everything about you and the fact that you are having my first child makes me want to be with you even more. I feel like I can't breath whenever I am away from you. I just want to be with you for the rest of my life. I don't think I could have picked a better person to start a family with."

He stuck his hand in his pocket and pulled out a box. My heart felt like it stopped. I know my breathing did.

He opened the box which held the most beautiful ring I had ever seen in my life.

"I guess what I am trying to say is this. April, will you marry me?"

I stared at the ring, then back at him. "I love you but how can we get married when you are still married to Erica?"

"I got the call today that the divorce is final."

"How did it go through so quick?" I asked.

"We already had a pre-nub in place so it helped speed up the process. Plus I'm friends with the judge so that helped as well. Ok, enough with the questions. Can I please get my answer?" Jermaine asked with puppy dog eyes.

I thought about everything that had transpired in these short seven months. From me meeting Jermaine, to me finding out I was having his baby. Was I ready to marry him already? Would we be happy?

"April?" Jermaine said with a concerned look on his face.

"Yes."

"What's wrong?"

No, yes as in yes."

"Yes? You mean it?!" Jermaine said as his eyes lit up with joy.

"Yes. Why not?" I said as I shrugged and smiled.

He took the ring out the box and slid it onto my finger.

I looked at my hand and admired the ring. I didn't have long to admire it because Jermaine picked me up and spun me around while kissing me passionately on my lips.

"Why wait, let's get married now." Jermaine said when he finally stopped kissing me.

"You don't think it's too soon. I mean, you did just get your divorce finalized today." I said.

"I don't think I can go another day without you being my wife. Let's just go get married."

"What about a pre-nup? You had Erica sign one, what about me?"

"I only had her sign one because I have always had my doubts. I don't have any when it comes to you. I know we are gong to be together for the rest of our lives. There is no doubt in mind."

"Ok but we can't get married now."

"Why not?" Jermaine asked looking frustrated.

"Well it is three in the morning. No where is open for us to get married." I replied.

"Want to go to Vegas?"

"Seriously?" I asked.

"Yea I am serious. I can't stand you not being my wife for another day."

"As good as that sounds, lets just wait until tomorrow or something. I am six months pregnant you know."

He sighed. "Alright babe. Tomorrow it is. Let's just go practice for our honey moon." Jermaine said as he picked me up bridal style and carried me to our room where we made love all night.
