Year gone by.

Year gone by.

It’s been a year today,

And I don’t know what to say,

All I know is that I’ve never felt love,

Before this day.

There are people around me,

Those gathered in this room,

That are the hands,

That have pulled me from the gloom.

We’re laughing, singing,

And nobody is down,

We’re all smiling,

as in happiness, we drown.

Today is a milestone,

For each and every one here,

The past is past,

And the future is now clear.

In the day’s that have passed,

We’ve all grown, and progressed,

We’ve all got new ideas,

And new emotions to express.

Change has taken us all,

Along this ever twisting track,

But now that we’re forward,

We’ll never look back.

It’s been a year today,

And I’m as strong as I can be,

There’s an even stronger circle around me,

And happiness is all I can see.
