I have a monster
It lives inside me
It whispers sweet nothings in my ear
It helps ease my pain
By spilling drops
Drip drip drip
And watching little rivers form
Such a comforting scene
It makes me feel dizzy
Elated
But the moment fades
All too quickly
And before I know it
The pain is back
And it's worse than before
It's never really gone
It just subsides for awhile
And then takes control again
But at least
I've got my friend
