Rain's POV:

"It's not raining, though," Forrest said

"No, Rain is my name." I said

He smiled.

"That's an unusual name. And who's the girl over there?" he said

I frowned. Leave it to a stranger to mention Ruby.

"Ruby," I said, "And don't bother crawling to her. She's a good for nothing whore. Did you not see her stick her chest out when she walked in? Trust me, go to her, your ego will be destroyed."

"I was just asking. And I did see her stick her chest out. A lot of girls have been doing that lately. And why are you here if you don't like her?" he said

I nodded.

"She's only here for Bieber, and I was her last choice, her "friends" ditched her. I hated having to sit through that. I think I may have lost my hearing in an ear." I said

He nodded.

"It seems like most are. So, if you don't mind, may I ask you questions?" he said

I laughed and said, "Isn't it the other way around?"

"I guess it is, but we can take turns, right?" he said

"Yeah, I guess." I said

"Okay, where are you from?" he asked

"A small, boring town in Vermont." I said

"Oh, really?" he said

"Let me guess, you're going to Arlington Memorial High School?" he said

How the Hell does he know where I live?

"Yeah..." I said, "How did you know...?"

"Lucky guess. I may go there. Dunno if my mom'll let me go to a normal school again." he said

I nodded.

"What type of music do you listen to?" he asked

"Mostly rock; Paramore, Tokio Hotel, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Skillet, Superchick, Plumb, Asking Alexandria....Have you heard them?" I said

"I've only heard of Paramore an Green Day," he admitted

"Really?! Oh wow, you need to learn lessons! No more Ke$ha for you!" I said

We went on and on that night. We had our share of laughter and small talk. Usually, I would be uncomfortable, but tonight, it seemed as if everything had changed.

"Hey, if Ruby ever gives you trouble...call me," he said handing me his number

"But you don't have mine." I said

He handed me his phone. I sighed and typed the number in, putting my classic signature: RainSTORMS.

He smiled and nodded.

"I'll call you later," he said, walking out

I smiled and turned around, only to face Ruby, obviously pissed.

"What the Hell was that? You know he's mine! You're such a whore! Why did I eve take you here?!" she shouted

I sighed.

You can't cry here, Rain. Do it when you get home. Be strong, you can make it through. You've done it for 10 years, you can keep going, I thought

I walked out.

"Bye Ruby!" I shouted

I ran out, letting the tears fall. I hate her so much. Why did she choose me to hurt? I ended up stopping by a Starbucks. I sank down onto the ground.

I stared at my tattered skinny jeans with blurry eyes. I wiped my eyes. No use crying.

All of the sudden my phone rang. I picked it up without checking the number.

"Hello," i said

"Hey, Rain, it's Forrest." the voice said

"Hi," I said

"Are you okay?" he asked

"I'll be fine," I said

"Okay," he said, "Well I have to go. Bye!"

"Bye," I said and hung up.

I got up. Almost home. I ran to my house. Three years of traack and field have finally paid off.

I unlocked the door and walked in. I picked up a note on the counter.

Rain,

I'm at a friend's place. Dad will

be home later. Your brother is sleeping.

Don't wake him! There should

be some Ramen in the cabinet under

the counter. Help youself.

Love, Mom.

P.S.: Don't forget your CD's!

They're in your room!

I sighed and went into my room. I turned on my T.V., found an Grey's Anatomy DVD, put it in the DVD player, an curled up in a ball in my bed. I fell asleep almost immediately.
