Smoke, filling the air.
Heat rising from my feet.
It finds its way up my ankles,
Wrapping around my legs.
The tips of the flames start to lick my chest,
Like a hot caress they spread up my neck;
Inferno brushes my lips like a passionate kiss,
Flames taste like gasoline and ash.
Then my vision goes red,
The smell of smoke filling me up.
My consciousness slips in and out,
I can suddenly feel the burning sensation I was missing.
I would scream out, but the fire has turned my throat to a char.
As I reached out to touch something, I realized my body was falling apart too.
Just like my heart had my body turned to ashes.
Never to be seen again.
