I heard a knock on my door.
"Mam, pinapatawag na po kayo ni ser. Nandyan na po ang mga bisita." "Okay. Will be out in 5"
I shouted behind close door. I look into my reflection for the last time and heave a deep sigh.
"I don't understand my lolo, alam naman niyang hindi ako interisado sa business namin yet he asked me to join them today. Ma bobore lang ako later. I swear"
I said, talking to myself when I heard another knock on my door.
"Maaamm, ikaw nalang daw po ang hinihintay sa baba"
I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Kaloka si manang. Sabi ko 5mins hindi 5 secs but whatever!! Lets get this over and done with.
Dirertso agad ako sa living room since doon daw magaganap ang pag-uusap. I saw my lolo talking to someone and obviousky they are talking about business. I cleared my throat to get their attention.
"Sorry I have kept you waiting" I said out of manners
"Oh no! It's okayy hija" he said smiling so I smiled back and sat next to the chair of my lolo.
"This is my apo, Madelene del Rosario. Madene, apo, I want you to meet my business partner and a very good friend, Alejandro Martinez." I shook his hand "Nice to meet you sir"
"Just call me tito hija" "And I would like you to meet my apo, Rovan Micko Martinez" He said, looking at the guy sitting next to his chair, across mine. Ohhhh what a hunk! Damn, what a handsome guy he is. So I gave him my sweetest smile and shook his hand "Nice to meet you too Rovan" But instead of smiling back he just raised his perfect brow at me and gave me a curt nod.
Okaaayyy.....what was that for? He saw my shock face and smirk at me. Wooahh what is wrong with this guy?? That made me raised my brows to him in question. Pero wag ka, dedma ang kuya nyo. What is wrong with him? Like, srsly?? We just met and parang galit na siya sakin. I didn't do anything. But whatever!!
"So let's cut to the chase. Apo, you're already 27 and successful and all pero wala ka paring pinapakilala sa aking manliligaw o boyfriend. Parang wala kang planong mag settle down so........." mas tumaas yata ang kilay ko sa sinabi ni lolo. Sinasabi ba nitong wala akong manliligaw?? Ay grabe ka lolo huh!! At anong connect nito sa business meeting na ito??

Tinaasan ako ng kilay ng lolo ko na parang sinasabing nababaliw na ba ako. "I don't remember telling you to join me in a business meeting cause I know for a fact that you're not interested in that field."
"Well, I just concluded that. So this is not a business meeting then?"
"No Mad, we don't do meetings in a living room. I don't bring work in the house and you know that. Could you just let me finish instead?"
"Okay whatever" and guess what?? lolo just rolled his eyes at me. Wow Lo, so mature! I rolled my eyes at him too and caught Micko smirking again at me. So he find this funny now? Parang kanina lang ang sungit niya sakin but then again whatever!! Bipolar ang kuya nyo hmmmp!!
"So I was saying, wala kang plano mag settle down and wala kang interest sa business natin. Matanda na ako, I'm not getting any younger" Obviously duuhh "Mag re-retire na ako soon." OMG!! Srsly?? Sino nang mag ma-manage ng business niya?? No way in hell na ako ang naisip niya. "So I ask my friend's help and fortunately we have the same delima though not in the business part since Micko is doing great in that field." OMG times two!! Hell noo!!!
"But the thing is my apo here is a workaholic. Gingawa na niya g bahay ang opisina niya. Focus siya mashado sa trabaho at hindi na yata naiisip ang personal niyang buhay. Tulad mo career lang ang iniisip niya at wala ng planong mag asawa! As what Enrique said, we're not getting younger. Gusto ko na ng grandchildren." Tito Alejandro said. OMG times 3!! So anong ibig nilang sabihin??
"Lo, stop talking like I'm not here" inis na sabi niya kay tito Alejandro pero pinagtawan lang siya ng dalawang matanda na mas lalong ikinainis niya. Is this why his been giving me the cold shoulder?? fuck
"Wait a minute.....so we are having this conversation because??" Tanong ko na may halong inis sa lolo ko. parang alam ko na kung anong mangyayari sa usapang ito. damn
"Because we are merging the company and si Micko ang mag hahandle ng merged company and for that to be possible you have to marry him."

"LANGUAGE MADELENE!!!" Okayy...galit na talaga siya, tinawag na akong Madelene ehh pero galit din ako. Hindi ako makakapayag sa gusto nila.
"I'm sorry Lolo! But can you blame me? Pwede naman e merge ang companies without me marrying him. You can't just decide who I have to marry. I am already 27 for fuck sake. I have a choice and I'm not a kid anymore." Damn this is so frustrating!! He knew I wont back down without a fight. He knew I have to and always get what I want. But so does my grandfather.....damn!

Tiningnan ko siya...Alam kung alam na niya lahat ng plano hindi pa siya naka apak sa bahay nato at alam ko ring tutol din siya dito sa mga tingin palang na binibigay nya sa akin. "I'm cool with it po since I don't have a girlfriend for a long time na and its not a bad idea and I think I can handle another responsibilities sa company so why not give it a shot?"
