Chapter 14
Erica's POV
Violet's laughter filled the room as she looked through the scrap book. Today was her birthday and she was growing up to be a good nice young girl. She hugged me "Thank you mama." She said smiling widely and then hugged Cole thanking him as well.
Me and Cole have been doing good but I can't help but get this feeling like something was going happen like something was going to go terribly bad. I sighed and shook those feelings.
"One, two, three, Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear violet! Happy birthday to you!" The whole pack sang as she blew out the candles I smiled down at her and grabbed the knife cuttin her the first piece. Everybody got a piece and we went outside to keep the party going.
Cole went to go start a fire in the middle of the backyard. I looked at all the kids playing with Violet while smiling. "Are you okay?" I heard a voice say. I turned around to see my brother Julian standing next to me I smiled "Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I asked him he sighed and shook his head "I've known you for a long time I know when your lying." He said I scoffed and shook my head "I just..."
"I have this feeling like something bad is going to happen." I murmured looking down Julian wrapped his arm around me leaning most of his weight on me "Chill out little sis it's your daughter birthday! Celebrate, relax, enjoy it and dot worry nothing's gonna happen!" He said messing my hair up with his hand.
I swat his hand groaning and nodded "Okay! Okay! Just leave my precious hair out of this!" I snapped mumbling some words at him he chuckled and gave me his drink "Go for a walk I'll make conversation with you mate." He said I snickered "Good luck with that and don't you dare he into with each other!" I scolded he rolled his eyes "Yes mother." He mimicked walking away.
"Stupid hefer." I mumbled as he walked away from me "I heard that!" He screamed over his shoulder I rolled my eyes and turned walking around the house and down the gravel trail. I kicked rocks as I walked down the trail. I don't get why people think I'm going crazy or something I'm not it just doesn't feel right it feels like someone's been.....watching me or something.
It started getting cold and the wind blew I heard a twig snap and I stopped looking around I was now in the woods, but how? I was just on the trail was I so deep into thought that I didn't feel myself walking into danger? My breathing caught up as I heard footsteps I walked behind a tree hiding from whoever I hear the footsteps come closer and suddenly stop.
I held my breath and closed my eyes a few minutes pass by and the footsteps walk away and when I couldn't hear them I let out a deep breath. Who would be out here at a time like this? I shook my head and walked from behind the tree only to see a man a black I high pitched shriek came out of me and then blackness took over.
