He sighed putting his phone back in his pocket. Smiling, he thought: Kaz is always like this, not knowing exactly where she is and what is going on.

Ping. Kaz had texted again.

Matt was out the door before he even finished reading the text.

He parked a little ways away from the set and walked, breathing in the fresh night air.

One, two, three, four.

He counted the cracks on the pavement, trying to keep his nerves down.

Five, six, seven.

He thought about the last proper conversation they'd had, whispered, her eyes closed, his mouth resting in her short red hair.

"Do you love me, Matt?" Kaz had asked sleepily.

"Why?" He'd responded cautiously.

"I don't know," Her Scottish accent blurring her words even more. "I think I love you"

"Uh.." He'd said, then realised she had fallen asleep, on top of him her body slumping onto his. He'd held her gently, fearing she'd leave if he didn't.

"You have reached your destination." Siri said stiffly.

Matt looked up, startled.
