That night,
When I opened my closet
You weren't there.
I realised you had
Gone away.
I stared at it
Hoping you'd come
But sadly enough
The change was none.
I closed the closet and opened it again
Wishing you'd come through
And wished for you.
But you never came.
I missed our stare.
I missed you blush
I missed you talk
And sound so hushed.
I missed the way you used to hold me.
I missed the way you came close to me.
I missed the taste of your kiss
And indeed, it was a bliss.
That night was going to be the longest of all.
Loneliness led me to winter fall.
When the first time you had looked at me.
That graceful face
And an intent gaze.
I was head over heels right there.
Love was flowing everywhere.
But now as you've gone away
I feel my life sway.
From that night to this day
I keep checking my closet.
In case you might've come my way.
I want to trace you and keep track
I miss you and want you back..
