Hello, and welcome to this story. You may or may not recognize it from booksie. It's harshly edited and I will be posting the finished version here. Hope you enjoy.

7th grader Trina Valore, rushes through the hallways in a mad dash hoping to not get trampled. The bell is about to ring and Trina is about as invisible as they get.

Ding!

She hears the noise that she dreads. Unfortunately she is a solid, and while particles can go through her, people can't. Quickly the older kids shove past her, knocking her glasses off her face and to the ground. Frustrated tears threaten to fall, but she won't let them. She goes to grab her glasses, but a hand stops her. She looks up to see the gorgeous face of Gordon Hayes. He's practically the supermodel of the eighth grade. Trina has always had a crush on him. Along with just about every other girl in the school.

"Well hello beautiful," he stares into her eyes, causing her to blush and look down.

"Uh um, hi," she stutters out.

"Listen I don't know you but I think we should hang out sometime.” She eagerly nods, mistakenly thinking that he is a good guy.

Flash forward a month and Trina and Gordon are going strong. Trina already thinks that she's in love. But she's just a naïve girl. For her dearest Gordon, is a player.

Another thing about Gordon is, he's a little rough. Mean, but never quite abusive. That's what Trina told herself. Love hurts right? Besides Gordon is her boyfriend, maybe all boyfriends are like this. When that's all you've ever known, that's all you'll believe.

The one thing Trina tells Gordon no for is sex. She is holding out, for the right guy. Even though she thinks Gordon could be that guy. She still thinks she is too young. Gordon disagrees.

He threatens to break up with her. She keeps her stance. Until she finally decides that she's ready.

It's Friday night and after about a week of begging and extra chores, Trina's mom finally decides to let her go to the party the next night. “Thank you, thank you, thank you mom,” Trina rushes and gives her mother a huge hug. “Can I get a new outfit for the party,” She gives her mother puppy eyes.

“Sure, we'll go after dinner,” her mother gives in. She hasn't seen Trina this excited in a long time.

At the mall Trina goes to find a sexy, but mom approved outfit, which isn't very easy. Finally she finds a pretty revealing shirt and tells her mom that she will wear a tank top under it. She picks up a pair of black short shorts and is ready to go.

At the party Gordon is already drunk. She didn't realize there would be alcohol here. Even though she hates the effects of it, Trina still downs a bottle of beer to keep Gordon happy. About halfway through the party, Gordon leads her up the stairs.

The second the get into the room, Gordon slams the door and roughly grabs her. He pulls her face close and slams his lips to her's. This is not abnormal to Trina so she just lest him. “You look so sexy tonight,” He whispers in her ear before going back to her lips. His compliments always made her feel giddy.

“Thanks,” she bites her lip, knowing what he is playing at. “I think I'm ready,” She tells him hesitantly. Gordon wastes no time. In a second his pants are down and so are hers. There is no foreplay involved. He spits in his hand to get her ready. Trina know that this is all going so fast, but she knows he'll be gentle and perfect to her.

She's wrong.

He roughly rams into her and she screams from the excruciating pain. “Shut up, it gets better,” He hisses and tugs her hair. Tears threaten to fall from her eyes. When he slaps her butt hard, the tears fall. After a while she feels numb. She prays that it ends soon. When it does, he leaves her as a crying heap on the floor.

The next day he breaks up with her over text. Saying that he met someone new. The boy she loved never loved her. After a week of crying, she vows to never let herself feel like that again.

Over the next week, with the help of contacts, new clothes, push up bras, and greatly timed braces removal, she is a new person. The sexy heartthrob that everyone wants a piece of. She's ditched books for boys and studying for sex. Her and her mom lose the closeness that they always had.

She's changed.

The loud sound of a door slam and a car starting wakes up a young 5 year old boy named Tristan Legend. He hears a fist make contact with the wall and knows that his parents have been fighting again. He knows that his mom will be back in a couple of days though, she always is.

After a week he starts to worry. She hasn't come back and his father hasn't said one word to him. Is she okay? Was she hurt? When he asks these questions his father just changes the subject.

Finally when the bus drops him off at home he sees his moms car. His little heart is beating with joy. He walks in and his mother tells him to take a seat. “What's going on,” he asks.

“Your father and I aren't going to be together anymore.” She tells him gently.

He doesn't understand. Moms and dads are supposed to love each other forever. “Your father will take care of you from now on.” Mom's leaving.

'But she loves me,' he thinks. Soon he's on the ground bawling his eyes out.

“I better go,” his mother says before kissing his head and walking out the door.

During the first month that his mother was gone Tristan would ask his father when mommy was coming home. The answer was always never. This was the first loss he ever had to endure.

He promised himself that it would be the last.

He started junior high and became a ladies man. At first he ignored them, but one girl caught his eye. Later on they went out. He fell in love with her. She broke his heart. He remembered the promise that he had made a long time ago. He decided to renew this promise.

This time, he intended to keep it.

Ta-Da. It's a prologue, it's allowed to be short. So I'll probably post chapters weeklyish. This is already finished and edited so that shouldn't be a hassle. Hope you enjoyed it, let me know what you think.

xx
