Chapter Three

-General POV-
JJ was at her locker getting her books when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned, surprised at who she saw.
"Will, hi." She smiled brightly. Will LaMontagne Jr. One of the most popular guys in school. He was your average heart throb. Football player, tall, smart, handsome, and he could sweet talk his way into just about anything.
"Hey JJ, what's up?" He asked in his southern accent, making JJ smile even more.
"Not much, you?" She asked as she took her last book out of her locker.
"Nothin' really. I actually wanted to ask you somethin'. You're goin' to the dance right?" He asked. She felt her heart flutter, butterflies filling her insides,"Uh huh." She said.
"Well, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go with me?"
Her 6th grade dream had come true. Every bone in her body jumped with excitement. A million things ran through her mind. She took a deep breath,"I- I'd love to." She answered. Will smiled, chuckling with relief. "Great, great okay so I'll see you then." He said.
"Yeah. See you then." She smiled as he walks away. She closed her locker and turned to see Spencer walking down the hallway in her direction. She grinned as she ran up to him an jumped with excitement,"Spence!" She couldn't contain herself.
Spencer laughed as she leaped with excitement,"Jayje I was just looking for you. I wanted to talk to you." He said.
"Oh please please let me go first the most amazing thing just happened." She said happily.
"What?" He asked.
"Will LaMontange just asked me to the dance. Me! Can you believe it?!" She wrapped his arms around his neck and hugged him tightly,"That's great JJ." He said as he wrapped one of his hands around her.
"Wait you said you wanted to talk to me." She said back away.
Spencer shrugged,"It doesn't matter, I can tell you another time." He said. Knowing she'd forget and wouldn't ask him again.
"Okay, well I have to tell Em and Garcia." She said before walking happily down the hall. He sighed as she walked away. He turned, taking the lily out from behind his back and growing it in the trash before going to his class.

Spencer walked into Bio honors and took his regular seat beside Garcia. She turned to look at him, he was slouched back.
"Why so glum?" She asked.
"Nothing important." He responded blankly.
"That means it's about a girl. And if it's about a girl that means you're suppose to tell me what happened and I give you advice." She explained with a small smirk. Her attempt to lighten him up.
"Why am I suppose to?" He asked.
"Because that's how our friendship works, my love. Now tell me what happened?"
He sighed,"I was gonna ask someone to the dance." He confessed. Garcia lit up?"Aw you were? That's so cute, what happen?"
"Someone got to her before me."
Garcia examined his face,"You heard about JJ and Will." She said quietly. Spencer looked up,"How did yo-"
"I can tell. JJ just told me." She cut him off,"and I mean it's a little obvious." She pointed out.
"...really?" He asked embarrassed.
"Honey we all see how you look at her. How happy you get when she's around and how happy you try to make her." She explained.
"Everyone knows?"
"Derek knows. No idea about Aaron."
He sighed,"What do I do?" He asked.
Garcia shrugged,"Not much you can do my love. She said yes." She watched the pout on his face worsen,"I'm sorry." She said giving his hand a squeeze.
