Even if you don't, I will be there if you need me, because you were for me.
Why do you care for me? I have only been pushing you away,
For I knew that if you became close to me, you would be hurt,
But you are hurt by me pushing you away, I tried to stop it,
but how am I supposed to be close, yet cold and distant at the same time.
From the first time you saw me, you were kind, even though I was not,
You helped me, even though I tried to stop you, because I knew,
I knew you would have no limits to help me, and I was right,
Here you are, feeding me with your life, are you not disgusted?
I can never forgive myself, I should have died that night, and spared you the pain,
instead, I indulge in this repulsive being I have become,
Yet your eyes are not hard, or mean, still soft and kind,
Even though they have no right to be,
You follow him, that beast, and you will only be hurt,
I am following his rules, his 'plan', as long as you are protected,
He thinks he controls me, but he holds no power over me,

You helped, unknowingly, me fight this curse, but only for a while,
I don't have a lot of time, before I completely loose myself to this beast,
But what time I have, I will use it to serve you,
When did my goal change from revenge to protecting you?
Your innocence protected me, from myself, I can never forget that.
