Skydil40: Needed Warmth

Introduction

Today was Martin's mother's birthday.

Lovely party, everyone having fun, Martin having fun with his best friend Adam.

After mother's wishes, everyone ate and threw cake.

Oh yeah. Best day of his mother's life!

But what made her happier is the smiles and laughs she sees her son makes.

She would sometimes call him Bodil, as in spiky or thorn.

Someone she could look up to whenever she's lost.

She would tuck him in bed, giving motherly love, cuddles and kisses.

But that didn't really last.

One night, his mother went to a bar, meeting a man of naughty looks.

Taking her that one night home, little Martin was left alone that night with a late sleep, waiting for her.

She would leave him alone a few times at night, but even if she did stay a night, she didn't have that energy.

She came back once more, only this time with the man. She had a ring on her ring finger.

They were getting married.

You see, her husband died in the army, in great honor of course.

The new husband was a carefree man. He didn't care about Martin.

He cares no shit about his family nor job businesses.

Though, the wife has been consumed into this style of life.

Martin lives an abusive life. Nobody didn't believe him. Not even his friends.

Every time he tried to tell somebody, the couple would act nice

He didn't understand. Why would his mother change all of a sudden?

Did she not care about her child anymore?

They weren't broke on money though, no no!

But their jobs were not the greatest.

They go to a strip club with the mother being a pole dancer and the father always checking her out.

As for Martin, he works at a pet store after school.

But once his age strucks at 16 years old, he meets an old best friend, Adam, or Sky.

Why Sky? Because he would sometimes act like a superhero that can fly when young.

Adam enters into his life as a more important friend.

He moved away a long time ago until that very day.

Even with a hidden past, he cheers Martin into the light.

But while he may be in the light, he had that one dark spark in him still.

With no telling, Adam had gave his kindness, bit of inappropriate humor, but most of all, his warmth.

For so long, Martin wanted someone's warmth, someone to care for him.

Of course, they got a little closer into their friendship.

But it was hard to keep it from his parents.

Will the parents disagree his close friendship with Adam?

Or will Martin gets a chance to have the life he had missed for so long?
