So in honor of celebrating my Total Drama: Around The World Book reaching up to fifteen thousand views, I decided to make a list of what I loved and hated during the time I was creating the book:
Things I loved:
- Silas & Mateo's love story (Obviously)
- That moment where Silas and Mateo first met in Japan
- The wedding challenge
- The Who's Got Voice Trilogy
- The interactions between Mateo, Nichelle, Scary Girl and Silas
- Heather & Alejandro's redemption arc throughout the story
- Mateo telling off Emma
- The finale where Mateo and Silas become a couple
- Alejandro's proposal to Heather
- The cameos of original Total Drama Characters
- Silas swinging his guitar at Vincent's groin
- The inclusion of Gina (Oc of karateunicornalc )
Things I hated/wished have done better:
- Emma being a toxic girlfriend to Mateo- Keep in mind, I know I didn't exactly like Emma during the time, but after rewatching the first and second season of the reboot, I thought that maybe I could've done better than to make Emma a toxic girlfriend and made her sound out of character.
- Every scene involving Cindy and Vincent
- Eliminations of Axel & Nichelle- To me, I felt like each of their eliminations felt rushed during the period which had made me wish I could've done better with each of their eliminations and have them interact more
- Mateo & Silas's love story- granted, I still loved writing it, but I feel like I just made it too long for them to just confess to each other and to become a couple, which caused other great couples that I liked to not get as much attention, so I apologize for that
- Heather & Alejandro not getting enough screen time or not having as many moments together
- Chris turning feral- Not gonna lie, I felt it was kind of much to turn Chris feral, considering his personality change from the reboot, and it felt as though turning Chris feral was an insult to his original character, so I'm not much of a fan of how I portrayed Chris
- Most of the eliminations- Most specifically Bowie, MK, Nichelle and Scary Girl, they deserved better than that in my opinion
