You ever get that feeling like you are lost?

The world is an ocean and you're just Nemo?

Ships have anchor, but what about souls?

The more you understand the world, the more you feel the lack of true understanding

I have met a lot of people throughout my life,

Some cameos, some antagonists, some jesters

And a bunch of mere instruments of fate

They all left their mark,

A few tiny strokes and a few glaringly obvious blotches

And then there is the one, who painted my entire canvas

A beautiful hue,

The undertones of her, In the painting that's me

When I first met you,

I never could've known

How imperative your existence would become to me,

How my life gets a distinction,

Before you and after you

We, as humans, are so different from each other,

All the differences and diversities paint you a different shade

And you forget your true color

But here you were, a different shade but with undertones of me

I nearly was losing my sense of self,

Who I truly was?

The question that haunted me

Day and Night

But I found some guidance,

A torchlight in the midst of a hedge maze,

Leading me to answers,

Hidden in plain sight

And you ask who the bearer of this light was?

It was you.

It was the way you described me,

The way you saw me,

Something I could never achieve

With my clouded eyes

You made me feel appreciated the way I was,

A delightful mess

You taught me not to judge myself, nor others

You taught me flaws were features, not defects

But most importantly, you taught me that true love is never tolerance,

It is acceptance

Dory found Nemo,

And Nemo understood,

Souls have anchors too.
