Ever since the reunion, Noah has been controllably kind. I mean, we bicker every now and again. Racing each other to lift every morning for college is something we do now. It's... fun.

Hazel runs her finger through the sides of the large, beige bowl. "This mixture is so nice."

We were baking cookies at the moment. They were in Noah and I's oven. Noah was out taking photos for a project in college.

I had already took mine, but I'm thinking of replacing one with a picture of the finished biscuits.

"So," Hazel grins. "I want to tell you something."

I look at her so excitedly, I look like a dog who is playing fetch with their owner.

"Travis and I are together!" she squeals. I gasp, hugging my best friend.

"That's so amazing." I lie. The thing is, Travis just reserved a table for him and I at one of the fanciest restaurants in town; La Belle.

"We went to La Belle last night; and it was the best night ever. He paid for my meal, and then he placed a blanket on the bonnet of his car and we looked at the stars!" she gushes, her eyes lit up like she stole some stars for herself last night.

"That's..." I pause, pulling a half smile. "really great..."

"Isn't it just?" she dreamingly gloats. "Travis is just picture perfect. He is kind, sweet, a gentleman, and lots more. But my favourite thing about Travis is that he is so honest with me."

I mentally laugh. It seems to me that Travis is anything but honest.

Feeling the need to tell her, I open my mouth, staring at Hazel. She is typing on her phone. I take a peek at her screen.

She's texting Travis. I can't do this.

I let out a depressing sigh. What do you do in these sort of situations?

Maybe if I just wait until the dinner tonight. I'll go there and talk this through with Travis. If he doesn't mention Hazel, or the date they had, I'll tell Hazel that Travis isn't who he seems.

The cute, quirky smile of his and his foolish demeanour may be just a show.

Hazel jumps up. "I have to go, Travis is taking me for coffee. Bye babe," Hazel blows me a kiss, grabs her Gucci bag and runs out the door without another word.

I shake my head, running my hand through my loose blonde hair. Noah walks into the room with a bowl of popcorn. He sits down beside me.

We sit in pure silence for around half an hour, me scrolling and scrolling through my Facebook feed, poring over posts I've already seen; just to have something to do. I turn off my phone, and spring up, my back like a pencil.

"Noah," I begin. "I have this friend; from back home. Her best friend... they're going on a date with a boy she's almost sure is cheating on her. I don't- uh, I mean they don't have a clue what to do."

Noah rubs the crook of his neck with his hand. "So, this friend. Does she have a name?"

"Uh, she- um... Mary." I randomly blurt. "Her name is Mary."

"Oh. And this Mary asked for your advice." He raises one of his perfectly shaped eyebrows.

I nod like an excited puppy.

"You're the worst liar ever." Noah smirks, shaking his head. "If I were you, just tell Hazel before it turns into a mess."

I scoff. "How did you know?" I cry. "I am the best liar." I pause, sighing. "Trust me, it's already a mess. Travis is really cute, and he has these gorgeous eyes. Hazel has fallen into the trap."

"So you're worried that Travis is a walking slutty Ken?"

I smile at Noah's phrase. "Yeah," I smirk. "I think Travis is the walking version of a slutty Ken."

Noah slowly nods. "Well; like I said. Just tell Hazel before it's too late."

I grab a piece of popcorn from Noah's bowl. "Ha!" I pop the piece of popcorn into my mouth.

Cautiously, I move towards the bowl again. I grab another.

"Not this time!" Noah laughs, grabbing the piece from me.

"Hey!" I jeer, tackling Noah for the piece of popcorn. "What was that for?"

Noah teases me, throwing the popcorn and landing it into his mouth. "I'm just taking back what is rightfully mine. You can get your own food."

I roll my eyes, shaking my head. "Gosh Noah; you are rude."

"Maybe. But I'm the most gorgeous rude boy you've met, aren't I?"

I smile. "Rude and cocky! How low can you go?"

I reach in to take some popcorn. Just as I'm retreating back with my handful, I spur of the momently grab Noah's arm. Our lips were inches apart. The beating of Noah's heart was flooding my ears.

"That's my popcorn." Noah whispers, not moving.

"Rude, cocky and selfish?" I whisper back. I press my lips against Noah's, smiling as we break apart.

"This is the third time you've kissed me Auden," Noah tilts his head. "I think you have a bit of an obsession with me."

"Nah," I scrunch up my nose. "you just think that because you're naturally full of yourself, you see."

"But I'm right," Noah plainly decides. "because you won't hold back when I do this –''

Noah ends the sentence with a smirk, kissing me again.

Butterflies flew around my stomach, sparks flying alongside them like a fireworks display in my stomach.

I know that's what you're meant to feel; but I can't except that. Those painful memories flash through my mind again, sending me down a road of nightmares.

The nightmares need to just remove themselves from my mind. These thoughts usually shake me up, make me scared and paranoid.

But as I was in Noah's hold, I didn't feel so scared anymore. I felt safe, guarded. How I should be. That's how I knew it was right.
