The lights flickered, I knew my time was up. As I slid under a broken wooden table, I heard a voice call out. "Caden?" A soft voice spoke, echoing through the halls. 'Marie' I thought, but I knew it wasn't her, only the creature that was mocking her voice. I held my breath, trying not to make a sound. I tried to think of what to do, when I thought of running to the exit door, I quickly scratched the idea out of my mind, I only knew that the 'creature' was too fast and I'll tremble getting up. I tried to settle down, but for my heart to be thumping louder, every second, every step the creature came closer, looking for me. My vision started to blur. As I started to black out, I heard a screech come from above the table that I was hiding underneath. But then I woke up.
