I took off after her. Surprised by her speed and beauty. She had told me something I had never
dared to say to her. She looked beautiful tonight, but she did every day. Even when her hair was
a mess. She was like a beautiful disaster, a hurricane waiting to strike. Her hair flowed behind
her and her red dress waved with the wind. I followed her until she was out of sight. I felt stupid,
for my reaction. Something fell from my eye, a tear. I stopped in my tracks as the flood opened.
My mouth made no sound as tears fell hitting my face like rain sinking into the earth's surface.
I have always liked her. I have always loved her. From the day I met her her amber eyes, ones
that reminded you of home. An underrated kindness behind them. A beautiful smart girl cast
out of the spotlight. A spotlight she deserved, she earned.
When morning came, I threw on clothes. Getting into my car I drove to her house. Knocking on
the door frantically, to see a concerned man. I was searching for her from what I could see
through the front door. " She left this morning, something about a fresh start" the man started.
" Thanks, sorry for bothering you," I said, dazed by this information. That is when I realized that
last night was the last time I saw the girl I loved. The one girl who was always there for me. She
left.
