Nicolas POV

I was sitting on the bench leading to the basketball court really deep in thoughts

Things were getting serious back at home and I need to leave school if it gets any worse, I just started and leaving won't be a nice thing but I was the man of the family so I guess I have to think of something

Nicole won't forgive me if she gets to know that am not doing as promised but how could I? Am getting famous around here with my basketball skills which I obviously detest a lot but money comes from it so I have to stick around with it

My twin sister was supposed to be the one here but I got a visa before she did so I got the opportunity first before things got worse at home and the responsibility fell on my shoulders, apart from playing with the eagles, I have also found a per time job which pays...well...they do pay money every hour and you know, time is money and a black man loves money

I sighed deeply, things men have to deal with and still smile lovingly like they have no troubles in sight of women

"A penny for your thoughts", i heard a smooth voice say and I looked up, I didn't even realize when Lucy walked in

"Could really come in handy now", I said with a chuckle and she nodded with a smile

"Sitting here alone can be creepy, what's bugging you", she asked nudging me

"Nothing too serious, you look gorgeous by the way", I complimented her just to change the topic

"That's so sweet of you, so how many siblings do you have", she asked

"Oh, I would have been the only child if Nicole didn't decide to come out two hours after me", i said with a smile

"Wow, you have a twin sister?" She asked with wide eyes and I nodded

"Can you believe that", I said humorously and she laughed

"That's a beautiful thing, to be honest I always wished I was a twin but Stacy is way better than a twin, she understands me like no other", she said and I nodded

"I always knew that separate siblings are more sweeter than twins", I said and she chuckled

"I didn't mean it like that, I meant..." She tried to explain herself

"It's okay, I totally understood what you were saying, I was just kidding so what brings you here", I asked her sitting up to face her squarely

"Well, in a word, am running away", she said and I frowned a little bit

"Running away?...hey sweetie, things can't get too bad back at home, you just have to..." I trailed hoping she'd understand me, if she was running away then I think I should be flying away!!

"No!! Silly, am not running away from home", she said and I heaved a sigh of relief, maybe it's because of overthinking that why my mind went through that valley

"So tell me, what are you running away from", I asked her with a smile, she could literally be running away from lectures, a friend, the cheerleading group or...
