I spent forever designing and overanalyzing/overthinking the cover, so I'll take a second to explain it.
The maple leaves obviously represent Canada, but the yellow flowers at the top are Yellow Trumpets (also known as Costus Spectabilis). They can also be found on the coat of arms; though, interestingly, those ones are red (see below)

In the background is a simple visual of the plane, leaving Nigeria with North America as it's destination.
This book is a representation of culture, so I'll put a disclaimer that there will be a lot of words/ terms/ phrases used that will not be commonplace to the average reader. The main character is from Nigeria, and many Nigerians speak a dialect (if you could even call it that) of English known as Pidgin. I will link a playlist Nigerian Pidgin (check the External Link!)
Because I will be using Pidgin in dialogue, some things won't be easy to understand. So in sentences/paragraphs where I use a Pidgin word, or any words/phrases from another language, I will provide a brief translation/explanation in the inline comments.
