Prologue
Seventeen year-old Riley Brown takes the rebel persona. Never has her bravery drained away, neither has her stubbornness. She is special in many ways, like her really black hair, or her right foot. A metal one, in fact.
She also has complete Heterochromia, which is when one iris is a different color than the other. She was bullied as a kid for having a blue eye and a purple one. (Yep, purple eyes are real.) To take care of that, she started wearing brown lenses and promised her mother not to tell anyone about that secret. As for Jake, he probably forgot.
Riley, in school, takes the whole bully/rebel persona. While with her friends, she's a child at heart. She hates annoying kids, ones who cry almost every 5 minutes, but she has eternal love for animals, especially puppies.
