-Tim POV-

Tim grabbed his brother's arm before they stepped into the shadows and out of Kon's shadow in the center of the battle. The elder teen immediately joining his group to take down the group of assassins they were fighting.

"You joining our team Ghost King?" Cassie asked with a smile as she lassoed an assassin, yanking him towards the group for Kon to knock out with a single punch.

Nico laughed as he dodged an assassin running at him. "Nope!"

Tim got to work, fighting back to back with Kon as Bart zipped around them and Cassie flew overhead. He kept glancing at Nico as the boy seemed to casually walk towards the front line of the battle, only pausing to dodge the people who ran at him.

"What's he planning?" Kon asked nervously. "He shouldn't fight on his own."

Tim threw three batarangs. "He said he was making his own team."

Bart paused his runnning. "What does that even mean?"

Before Tim could even respond, he saw Nico halt and immediately he stopped caring about giving an actual answer as he watched Nico reach into the shadows and pull out is sword.

"Is he about to do what I think he is?" Dick asked through the Comms.

Bruce's voice came next over the line. "Ghost King, this was not part of the plan."

"What's happening?" Steph's voice asked. "Oracle's drones don't have a visual on GK yet. We don't see him with the teams."

Tim shook his head with a laugh, finally understanding what the teen meant. "That would be because he's about to make his own team."

A dark laugh came through the Comms. "Hey Arty, you still wanna see my powers?"

"Ghost King-" Bruce started to say, probably about to tell Nico not to do it, but he was cut off as a massive crater opened in front of the demigod.

What looked to be a fog made of shadows seemed to seep out of the crack in the earth, causing the approaching assassins to halt their attacks and withdraw slightly. Tim watched as the battle field stilled for a moment while both friend and foe seemed captivated by the sheer power that radiated off of Nico.

Nico's free hand stretched out over the chasm as the other one dug is sword into the ground before a chilling whispered came through the comm feed.

"Serve me."

In an instant the battle became chaos once more, only this time the assassins were on defense. Skeletal soldiers rose from the fissure in the ground, all armed to the teeth with what looked to be steel swords and knives.

"Holy Shit!" Bart said with a laugh. "He could do that the whole time?!"

Tim continued to fight, now with a significantly smaller chance of getting overwhelmed by the assassins as the skeletons had evened the odds.

"Incoming everyone," Barbra said through the Comms. "We have a who's who of villains joining the fray."

"Who are we up against?" Bruce asked.

Barbra hesitated, probably cross referencing between the League data base. "No one good. You might need to call in the backup up. You won't be able to deal with both the assassins and all of these guys."

"I'll deal with the assassins," Nico said confidently. "I can summon more soldiers."

Tim glanced towards Nico who was still surrounded by his skeletal soldiers, the black fog seeming to billow around him. "You sure you can handle summoning more?"
