Sam passes Rosie as he Frodo and Pippin leave a bar

outside of Bag End Frodo trudges up the steps while Sam Walks down the Path

Frodo enters the foyer and looks to the dark drawing room

wind blows through an open window, swirling documents around the room.

without closing the front door Frodo creeps forward and looks down a shadowy hallway with very wide eyes.

Suddenly a hand reaches from the darkness behind him and clasps his shoulder.

Startled, Frodo turns and sees Gandalf.

Gandalf:"is it secret? is it safe?"

Frodo searches a storage box while Gandalf stands behind him and looks over his shoulder cagedly.

Frodo:"Ah"

He holds the envelope up and gandalf it in the fire

Frodo:"what are you doing?"

Gandalf Grabs metal tongs as the flames reduce the envelope to ash and reveal the ring.

using the tongs he plucks the ring from the fireplace and stares at it.

Gandalf:"hold out your hand, Frodo it's quite cool"

he drops the ring into Frodo's palm

Gandalf:"what can you see?"

Gandalf rises.

Gandalf:"can you see anything?"

Frodo turns the plain gold ring over

Frodo:"nothing there's nothing"

Frodo:"wait"

Gandalf's eyes widen

the one rings inscription appears along its edge

Frodo:"there are markings it's some form of Elvish I can't read it"

Gandalf:"there are few who can the language is that of mordor which I will not utter here"

he faces Frodo

Frodo:"Mordor?"

Gandalf:"in the common tongue, it says 'one ring to rule them all one ring to find themone ring to bring them all and in darkness bind them'
