28 year old, Jackson West, is 1 of 3 new rookies. He comes from a family of police officers. His name is big to live up to. West is single. He is very clear about his sexuality and exclusively dates only men.

40 year old, John Nolan, is about to be the oldest rookie in LAPD history. He is newly divorced and a father of 1 son. He's a law school dropout. He also owned a construction company for 29 years before he decided to move to LA and become a police officer.

37 year old, Timothy Bradford, is a hard-ass training officer. His wife was a cop, who is now an addict and abandoned Tim. He's had a dozen rookies wash out.

32 year old, Angela Lopez, is a training officer. She is determined to become a detective. She has been married for less than a year to a defence lawyer. There's always been something off, but she hadn't figured it out yet.

34 year old, Nyla Harper, is also new to the station. Her first day is the same as the rookies. She is a detective, so it is unclear why she has come back to patrol to train a rookie. Her reasoning being that she wants custody of her daughter back, but she plans for nobody to find out.
