"Revenge is a confession of pain."

Flashback ~

"Solas, do you know why you should always count crows?"

"No, Ada, why?"

"One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret to never be told, eight for a wish, nine for a kiss, and ten for a time of joy and bliss."

"What does that mean, Ada?"

"You will understand one day, my manya. When you are wiser and older, it will make sense to you."

End of Flashback ~

"One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret to never be told, eight for a wish, nine for a kiss, and ten for a time of joy and bliss. I see ten crows today, Ada; the time has finally come. I can finally free you from our curse, and we can have our time for joy and bliss." Solas whispered to the black coffin next to him as he placed his hand on top and listened to the heartbeat inside.

Solas closes his eyes before he is transferred into his father's mind. When he opens his eyes again, he sees his father reading a book in a chair. Jhaeros looks up to see his son; he smiles as he closes his book and stands up to hug his son.

"My mirwa, how are you? How was your day? Did anything interesting happen?"

"Ada," Solas says softly as he breathes in his father's scent. They hug, "I am doing well, Ada. My day has been well, but something did happen."

Jhaeros pulled away from the hug and led Solas to a chair to sit with him so they could converse. "I am glad you are doing well, my Solas. But what happened?"

"I saw ten crows, Ada," Solas spoke as he grasped his father's right hand tightly, and his eyes shined like the sun with joy.

"My Solas," Jhaeros gasped, "Ten crows. It's finally come, hasn't it? You found the doppelgänger?"

Solas nodded his head excitedly, "Yes, Ada, but it gets better. I have Elijah's siblings' being watched by a few of our allies. Umbra is watching the doppelgänger, and a few other crows are watching Elijah and reporting his plans to me. Melantha is watching over Mikael, who was spelled shut into a coffin years ago by a Bennett witch."

Jhaeros couldn't help but let a proud smile grace his face. He lifted his left hand to cup his son's face, his thumb lightly brushing across his cheek. He watched as Solas nuzzled into his hand, "I am so proud of you, my ion. You have everything in place already, don't you? You're pulling apart his plan thread by thread."

Solas couldn't help but chuckle, "I learned from the best, Ada." He smirked as he glanced at his father, who started to laugh with him. "Do not worry, Ada, after I break my curse, I will free you from yours."

"Do not worry too much, my ion. I am in no rush, although I would love to be with you when you break your curse and be outside in the real world; I still can see you right now. I will be okay, my ion. I would wait a thousand more lifetimes if it meant I could see you grow into your skin as you have."

"I know, Ada, I know," Solas whispered as his eyes started to tear up, "But that's the thing, Ada, I wish you were out there with me. I need you, Ada. I cannot do this alone."

"Oh, my Solas, when have I ever left you truly alone? I will always be with you, no matter what. I will always be with you in every universe. I will always be your Ada, and you will always be my ion. Nothing could ever break our bond."Jhaeros pulled Solas into another hug and buried his head into Jhaeros's shoulder.
