She stared across the hallway
Looking for that one familiar face in the crowd
The one that has been keeping her awake at night
The one she knew was in love with, without a doubt
She hid her face with the palm of her hand while she looked at him
She wasn't even confident enough to look at him directly
She sneaked a glance or two and went away walking shyly
He stood between his group of friends
Talking and laughing..But it wasn't where his mind belonged
His sneaky glances searching for her face
Wish she knew it was her face he longed
~
Both of them with minds lingering with the same thoughts
With the ocean of flowing love that they are trying to stop
But the distance,it feels like they are miles apart yet so close
They think about each other all day but no single phone call, no text,no hi's and hello's
But Some things truly are beyond control
The way both their glances meet every now and then
No matter how hard they tried not to
They both know there's no way out
