Staring at the clock,

I begin to wonder when this will ever stop.

Neither of us was on top,

Yet you framed it as competition.

Dare I mention,

The commissions you stated during this friendship.

Staring at the clock,

The times that past us by,

I begin to question when this will ever stop.

You made me confused.

Everything you’ve done creates entangled thoughts, wishing I had refused.

Staring at the clock,

I begin to count down when this could possibly stop.

I’ve given you chances,

Even the benefit of the doubt.

Instead, my mind gained a ginormous clot.

Staring at the clock,

The clot grew large with no way to stop.

You impelled me with feelings of wanting to plop.

I’d rather end it all than put this relationship on top.

Staring at the clock,

It finally stopped.

However, I am engulfed with a nullifying thought.

What if it hadn’t stopped?
