The first person I stalked online was Fen.

He was around the same height as I was—5 foot 8, though he appeared much taller with his lean build. He had dark, anime styled hair, with dark hooded eyes, sharp features, and beige, flawless skin. He was pretty and I'd known him forever.

My brother had made up a story about how Fen and I met by bumping heads, but that wasn't the truth. The truth was Fen had started out as Maison's friend, and he had touched my mother's stomach while I was still baking inside of it—while gloved, of course, but it was still weird to think about since he was about 7 at the time and we appeared similar in age now. Incubus and succubi grew differently than most supernatural creatures did, particularly in our formative years. We didn't really 'age up' with time like normal people did. Instead, we aged depending on how much energy we absorbed from our parents through the maternal or paternal line. Basically, we stole energy from our parents just by existing, though hugs or contact of some kind helped. If the parents were nurturing, then the formative years could happen twice as fast. Around adulthood, which was when our kind went through puberty, that line to our parents was cut, similar to an invisible umbilical cord. We no longer stole the nourishment of energy from them, but instead, had to fend (and feed) for ourselves. Luckily, in our younger years, a small bit of contact went a long way—like a touch or a kiss. But as we grew older, and our aging started to slow to the point of almost freezing in time, we needed to feed properly. That was what we called 'sexual maturity,' and despite what people thought—or assumed—about my kind being sexual deviants, we were actually more reserved than most.
