Brown eyes,but they hide something black
where am I?,I have lost track
Faded eyes, in my memories,cracked
Where are you?,I want you back
Your name brings a smile upon my face
Even though something Deep inside breaks
In this canvas of love,if I had to paint
Only I would paint dull shades of grey
"You've changed" they say
It's cause your thoughts keep me at bay
It's so hard to block my thoughts
Since you've tied your memories together in a knot
~In this melancholy of poetry I wove
You're the tragedy I write about,love~
"And when you are young, they assume you know nothing
But I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss
I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs
The smell of smoke would hang around this long
'Cause I knew everything when I was young
I knew I'd curse you for the longest time
Chasin' shadows in the grocery line"
