"Nev, can you order for me? I rushed out the house and didn't have time to use the bathroom" Summer asked her friend as they entered the small local coffee shop, Neveah didn't get the time to respond as summer had rushed off to the bathroom
the coffee shop was nice and peaceful, although it was a bit busy due to it being a weekend it was still quiet. Neveah was visiting summer near the girls' college campus, and the two met up to catch up on stuff in their lives.
"Did you order?" Summer asked walking over to a table where neveah is sat. "Please tell me you remembered my croissant"
"yeah, they're still preparing the order" Neveah said to the girl
Once summer has grabbed her food and drink, the two walked out the cafe, wanting to walk around a bit before heading elsewhere.
They didn't get very far as a tall brunette male had bumped into the blonde-haired girl, the girl's coffee, croissant and phone falling onto the pavement. "Tom!" A girl spoke out, her eyes widened at the sight. Summer groaned out in annoyance hading only had a couple sips of her coffee and a singular bite of the croissant. "I am so sorry-" The man spoke out apologizing for the incident
"No, no, you're fine. I wasn't looking where i was going" "no i wasn't either!" he said bending down to pick up the girls phone that had fell. "Was that the croissant from the cafe down the block?" He asked noticing the packaging on the coffee cup
"Yeah, didn't get to eat it" "Please let me buy you a new drink, or at the very least a croissant. Their croissants are delicious"
"what no, you don't have to do that" summer laughed off, throwing away the coffee cup and croissant at a nearby trash can. "No, i insist, How much was it?" The man asked, pulling out his wallet.
After a bit of back and forth, the man finally convinced summer to let him buy her a new drink, The group walks back into the cafe ordering summer her new drink and pain au chocolat.
"Again, I am so, so sorry!" The man — who she learned is named tom, apologized once more before him and the girl walked away.
"girl he was cute" neveah whispered as the two crossed the street. "Yeah but he was with a girl, I'm just hoping that isn't his girlfriend" Summer replies, her eyes widened
