2pm participated at the 2009 Mama Awards as the New Rookie in town. This year saw incredible success with their comebacks Again and Again and Heartbeat, cementing them as new titans. They all dressed in the same costume they wore for the music video. Nick Chou wore a small ponytail near the back of head for his unique look. Aside from 2pm was Kara and new girl group 2ne1. They too captivated the audience with their dance performance as well as Female artist Ivy who uses Tanghao as a prop for her performance.

"That was sexy don't you think?" Goo Hara said to the girls.
"They're a manly group Hara-ah. It's kind of obvious they would dress like that." Gyuri pointed out.
"I know it's just their style is so good! Where can I find a man like that!?" Goo Hara complained childishly.
"I guess they're alright." Nicole wasn't fully on board. She thought of a certain American maknae just now.
"What do you think Bommie? Do these guys look fresh?" Chaerin asked.
"They certainly have good luck. They are charming and they have actual manners this time." Bom said impressed.
"Are you saying they're better than our boys?" Dara asked.
"They don't act out like some people I know. Why is it so hard for them to just act normal and smile." Bom shook her head at a certain American member.
"But Jaebom oppa is fun! These guys are kinda boring!" Minzy said.
"You're saying that because you are still young. When you get to my age you will understand." Bom said.
"Don't be like that unnie! I find them decently attractive!" Ailee said.
"So you're saying they're better looking than church boy? I thought you two had a special thing going on. How would he feel if he heard you say that?" Chaerin said.
"That's not what I meant Chae! It's obviously different with oppa! I'm just saying these guys look handsome! Can't a girl admire other men!?" Ailee defended herself.
"You're always so defensive with Eric Nam? You should marry him already." Dara rolled her eyes.
"No unnie and that's too weird!! He's just a really good friend! I can't marry a good friend!" Ailee sounded doubtful the more she thought. They remained quiet for the rest of the show.
Once 2pm were called for winning Best New Artist, they triumphly stepped forward to receive it. It was sort of cool standing here in a stage of thousands all congratulating you. That was the dream Tanghao wanted. Junsu was the first time speak.
"It's a real honor to receive this award. I just wanted to thank JYP-nim for supporting us and training us through all the years leading up to this moment. I also want to thank the stylists and choreographers who helped made the music possible. It has been a big year for us and I feel we are just getting started." Junsu said passing the mic to Taecyeon.
"Even though we just debuted last year it's been kinda crazy seeing your support. You Club Hottest are the best for real!" Taecyeon handed it to Junho.
"Even now receiving this award it feels like a fever dream. It wasn't that long ago when we first performed live. The amount of people here just feels overwhelming. Gamsahabnida." Junho tried to contain his tears. Overwhelmed by emotion, he handed the mic to Tanghao.
"Well um what can I say?... I never would have thought winning an award in a foreign country. If you would have told me three years ago that I would become a idol in Korea, I would said you're crazy. It wasn't easy living in a foreign land and learning it's customs. Korea has a vibrant community much like my home in Taiwan. Nichkhun has told me that Korean tourism in Taiwan has increased since my debut. We share many similar customs and I hope to be gateway of understanding between Korea and Taiwan. For the people in Taiwan wo ai ni. I hope to tour in Taipei with my friends and family. Xie xie." Tanghao states in both Korean and Mandarin as 2pm bid farewell.
