Katsuki is home, finally after what felt like a super long shift. Something that before never bothered him. He likes his job, loves the beach and the water but today he just wanted it to get the fuck over so he could come home, shower, change and hang out with Izuku.

After the greenett had surfed down by his lifeguard station and they sat on the sand talked for a while Katsuki reluctantly had to get back to work and Izuku said he had some unpacking to do still so they would see each other later. Well it's later and the blonde can't deny his itching to see who he thought after a summer long ago he'd never see again.

As he stands in the hot stream of shower water he lets his mind wander.

He isn't sure yet where this reunion might lead. There's definitely flirting on both sides, some subtle some not so much. There was flirting by the time Izuku was getting ready to leave that summer when they were teens too but back then they couldn't do much about it since the greenett was only there on vacation with his parents and would have no choice but to leave.

But that was then and this is now and they aren't teens anymore.

He furrows his brow in thought as he rinses the soap from his tanned form.

What would it look like if things turned into an actual relationship? Would it be a long distance thing? Each taking turns going to see the other? It's not that he wouldn't do that but it sucks to think about having to leave each other all the damn time and tickets back and forth wouldn't be cheap, its not like he can drive there from Hawaii. Would one of them move? I mean he guesses that could be a possibility if things turned serious enough.

Crimson eyes suddenly snap open under hot streams of water running from wet blonde spikes.

What if it doesn't go anywhere though? What if it's just another summer where they spend almost every spare minute together, have a blast, connecting in a way that no one else ever has, throw a few flirts back and forth and then that's it? That's it and then Izuku goes home at the end of August and nothing ever comes from it except for memories that won't die and actually hurt when thought of after hot summer days turn into cool autumn nights.

This thought makes an ache form in the depths of his chest while an uncomfortable knot forms in his stomach. The same feeling he had almost seven years ago when Izuku went home the first time.

He sighs stepping back from the shower stream, wiping the water from his eyes as he groans to himself.

" You're getting too damn far ahead of yourself Katsuki for fucks sake. You have no damn idea how he feels! Or how you feel.", he mumbles as he turns off the water and grabs a towel.

Though he's pretty damn sure he knows how he feels, how he started to feel a summer long past, a feeling that sprung back to life the minute emerald eyes entered his world again.

Almost an hour later he's dressed in black cargo shorts, a fitted black t-shirt with a short-sleeved deep red button down opened. There's black Adidas on his feet with red stripes down the sides. A black leather bracelet with a small green coral stone that has been smoothed and shined to perfection in the center.

He checks his reflection one more time, fixing a spike or two before he drops black sunglasses over crimson eyes and heads out to his jeep.

It only takes minutes to get to that light green cottage on the shore. Eight and a half to be exact but who's counting Katsuki smirks to himself as he climbs the three steps to the front door.

Again, just like the first night he had come with pizza, he doesn't even get to knock before the door is swung open by an excited greenett who was obviously waiting for him.
