Chapter 25: Unexpected ally

As Zion and Maddy prepared to face off against the menacing figure of Kuro, they were taken aback when he revealed his true intentions. With a solemn expression and a voice filled with regret, Kuro confessed that he was not their enemy, but rather an unexpected ally in their fight against the forces of darkness.

"I mean you no harm," Kuro said, his voice soft but resolute as he lowered his gaze to the ground. "I have only ever sought to protect those who cannot protect themselves."

Zion and Maddy exchanged wary glances, unsure of whether to trust this newfound revelation. But as they studied Kuro's demeanor, they sensed a sincerity in his words that resonated deep within their souls.
