AS WE DISPERSE

As we disperse, as we disperse
As we disperse through street lights
Out of the minaret
Hearts full of faith

Cars’ horns blowing faith
Lights’ blink blinking faith
Buying corn
From a woman selling corn
Beside a man who sells orange

As we approach, as we approach
As we approach near faith’s prison
And sit in asylum
To watch the outside world

Anytime we disperse,
We forget about faith
Colour, sound and taste
Pours, illuminates and poisons faith

As we stand, as we stand
As we stand, I recalled the Last day
The imam echoed
Standing before the Lord

One stand of interrogation,
But all humans disperse
To places to earn

As we disperse, as we disperse
As we disperse
Our faiths also disperse
