I heard a knock at the door " it's open " I said as I saw Cesar stand by the door way " YOU ARENT READY YET WERE GONNA BE LATE ?! " he yelled as I covered my face with my blanket " shut uppp go by your self ill be there later " I said as I get and and he walks out the room

I went to go get my book bag and my keys I made my way outside as I saw Oscar , joker and sad eyes " bye guys I'm heading to school " I said while waving they said bye back

i went through the alley way to go 18th street so I didn't have to go to 19th , I put my EarPods in until a construction worker came up to me " sorry ma'am but your gonna have to find another way work is being done here . "

I nodded my head and turned around . fuck now I have to go through 19th street , 19th street isn't bad there's just a ton of gang members jumping people for no reason but I'm not scared of
them .

I decided to head to the corner store to get snacks for lunch so I don't starve I tried reaching for a bag of chips " fuck I can't reach this shit " I said while trying to jump to get it

two boys kept staring at me I knew them cause they went to my school we've talk before but we aren't close Oscar doesn't want me talk to them since there from 19th street " you need some
help ? " the slickback boy asked

" nah im good thanks " I replied knowing damn well I did need help .. " ok if you say so " he said while shrugging and walking away he went back to his friend and they went to a different isle I see him walk pass me again after a few minutes
