Chapter 25: Escaping Reality

Lauren's POV

Bora Bora.. Finally, after a long flight. I made it. "Welcome to Polynesia!" the lady greeted with a flower lei, adorning it to my neck with a bright warm smile, and with another man playing a ukulele and ladies dancing a traditional dances to welcome everyone.

After thanking her and gave her my friendliest smile, I went straight to the reception area to check in and maybe take a rest for a bit. I was so exhausted. It was the longest trip I've ever done in my life.

I have all the time to explore the place, I thought. For now, nap is very tempting.

Mario had pick Maldives, but I thought I wanted to make an escape. So instead, I canceled the Maldives and the first photo that pops up in my computer screen, I decided to picked. And it's Bora Bora, in French Polynesia. I have no idea how long the flight is, but I made all the arrangement needed. Book a bungalow over the water, with an indefinite date to stay.

The place seems to have a very high review so I thought I'd go for it. Before, I left the airport, I left my phone in my condo, I brought cash not wanting to use my credit card incase Mario wants to track me down. I want no one to know where I am. I needed an escape, so I will make it a real escape, where no one knew where I am, even Mario.

The place looks amazing. It looks unreal. White sands, fresh breeze and the water was so clear and vibrant. It is spectacular.

Finally, I had my keys to my bungalow, and it's over the water.. How cool is that?

My bungalow number is 8, so I walk down the planks and passed more bungalows until I found my bungalow. The over-the-water bungalows on stilts, pretty cool.

I unlocked the door and walk in, into a small foyer and into my bedroom with a king size bed, facing the big sliding window glass door wall, over looking the beautiful turquoise water. On the side of the bed where an little open area to the big washroom with vanity, and a big shower. There's a pretty decent size of sink area, and another little toilet room.

Across the bed was a long sofa, or it could be a sofa bed. The bungalow was gorgeous and it has everything I need. I opened the sliding glass door, it welcomes me with the open deck overlooking the spectacular water and the mountain. There's a two beach chairs or lounges and a round table in between.

And there's a steps or planks leading down where you could do Snorkeling, just jump from the steps or planks, into the water.

You could see a lot of different kinds of fishes under the clear water. Snorkeling would be so much fun... Swimming with the fishes? Tempting!

The place was like a paradise. Stunning, breathtaking. For the last 36 hours I would say, I have left my troubles behind. I kinda love this place now.

I decided to take a nap first. It's still early. The sun just rose and it was breath taking. I let the glass door open to let the fresh breeze in.

I quickly had a nice shower and wore my pink nighties short and top made of silk. Then I crawled on the bed inside the bed covers and even the smell of the bed was amazing.

Not long, sleep took over me.

After the engagement party, I got two contracts signed. From Xian Xian and International Supermarket. The rest will be followed after the wedding. Dad was so furious. He was very polite and he looks convincing when he met the old Hayashi and acted politely, which I'm glad. I don't want any conflict with the Hayashi clan.
