DAISY COULDN'T handle it. there were sounds of sirens following her everywhere. chattering of civilians filled her ears so much that she tuned everything out.
"they're looking at us" grover said. annabeth turned to the police officers talking to a man quickly, looking away, and nodding. daisy couldn't hear him because her eyes were on something else.

"we should probably get outta here, don't you think?" grover asked. the woman in yellow in the middle looked directly at daisy and snipped the blue yarn with her large scissors

"dude, they're looking right at us" grover sighed, annabeth nudged the blonde's side a few times to snap her out of it
"what?" she shook her head. grover mumbled, turning his hands in front of him. daisy looked, three men looking right back at her "come on. let's go find percy"
"daisy.." grover started
daisy snapped her head toward him with a glare. "i'm stopping you there, grover. he's alive" she paused, stumbling over her words. "i know it."
the poison was still in effect, no thanks to persephone, so grover had put an arm around her to help her stabilize herself when they started walking.

"percy!" the three of them were yelling near the water. helicopter blades whirred over their heads. they walked through the walkways along the water yelling for him. grover helped daisy turn with them, annabeth making sure the girl didn't fall as she limped along
honestly after 5 minutes daisy was about to doubt herself. maybe she was wrong. but when they turned the last corner there he was. they all stopped where they were. percy climbed over the railing and planted his feet on the wood.
percy saw them and stopped too, he waved with a small smile. "hi"
daisy tightened her hold on grovers shoulder and dragged him along with her when she started walking toward him
