Jenner: "Yes. Or rather the playback of the vigil."

Narrator POV (Present time)

Andrea: "This person died? Who?"-she asks them-

Y/n and Jenner: "Test subject 19."-they say at the same time-

Jenner: "Someone who was bitten and infected... And volunteered to have us record the process."-he says to her, then turns to Y/n and nods-

Y/n: Vi, scan forward to the first event."-she says with a shaky breath that goes unnoticed-

VI: "Scanning to first event."(beeping)

Glenn: "What is that?"-he asks confused-

Jenner: "It invades the brain like meningitis. The adrenal glands hemorrhage, the brain goes into shut down, then the major organs."-he informs-

Y/n: "Then death. Everything you ever were or ever will be... Gone."-she said with her head down and ears flat on her head-

Sophia: "Is that what happened to Jim?"-she asks her mother-

Carol: "Yes."-she answers nodding to her daughter-

Lori: "She lost somebody two days ago."-she says referring to Andrea-"Her sister."

Jenner: "We lost somebody too. We know how devastating it is."-he said, making Andrea look up at him and then at Y/n-

Y/n: "Scan to the second event."-she says, ignoring the older woman's eyes of pity-

VI: "Scanning to second event."

Jenner: "The resurrection times vary widely. We had reports of it happening in as little as three minutes. The longest we heard of was eight hours. In the case of this patient, it was two hours, one minute... Seven seconds."

Lori: "It restarts the brain?"-she asks confused-

Y/n: "No, just the brain stem. Basically, it gets them up and moving."

Rick: "But they're not alive?"-he asks walking a bit forward to them-

Y/n and Jenner: "You tell us."-they say pointing at the screen-

Rick: "It's nothing like before. Most of that brain is dark."

Jenner: "Dark, lifeless, dead. The frontal lobe, the Neocortex, the human part-- that doesn't come back. The you part."

Y/n: "Just a shell driven by mindless instinct."

Carol: "God. What was that?"
