How could they hate you?
Yes you marr skin with wrinkles
And multiply worries and expenses
You wear out the body to nought
And muddy our fondest thoughts
Still how could they hate you?

You kill the weak and tired
While uplift the young and growing
You expose foes masked as friends
While revealing our wiser versions
How could they hate you?

You lead them out of a place of suffering
You renew opportunities over and over
Spreading horizons over people and places
You reveal yourself to them from the onset
As the passing of time; the future's future
How could they hate you?
