Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around

The random song continues to play as I made up some dance steps for fun.

I stopped dancing and did as she instructed dahil hindi naman ako sutil.

They were currently doing their warm-ups kaya may kaonting oras pa kami para linisin ang aming dance routine.

"Position," sigaw ni Amara. Someone else took control of the cassette tape, halting the song that was playing. It was a girl from another section, Erika, who wasn't really a part of the dance troupe but asked to join us so she can skip some classes.

Amara counted down and our remix began to play. I put my game face on and danced like it was the actual performance. I take dancing really seriously.

Three years old pa lang ako ay mahilig na akong sumayaw. That's what my mother told me. That passion intensified as I grew older. When I reached grade four, I was finally able to join the grade school dance troupe and remained in the org until now that I was in first year.

"Sino si Nikaela Reign Hinkle?" I heard someone ask. The guy was asking Erika, who was operating the cassette player.

They said something to each other that I couldn't hear until Erika stopped the song, kaya lahat kami ay tumigil na sa pagsayaw.

"Rei, tawag ka!" sigaw ni Erika.

Nagtatakang lumapit naman ako sa kanilang dalawa. "Anong meron?"

"Bakit daw?"

I still had a muddled expression as I excused myself from the group.

It didn't take me long to get to the principal's office.

I knocked on the door before opening it.
