Chapter 7

( In the Grayson house a young African American man was playing the drums in his room and his dad came into the room.)

Nick: Hey Daniel are you almost ready for school after breakfast?

( Daniel got off his drum set and smiled at his Dad.)

Daniel: Yeah I'm almost done I just have to find my backpack.

Nick: Is that your backpack right there?

( He pointed to the black backpack on top of Daniel's dresser and he smiled at his Dad.)

Daniel: Oh there it is thanks Dad

Nick: You welcome Danny.

Emily: Boyz it is time for breakfast.

Daniel, & Nick: Coming mom/sweetheart

( They both give each other a smile.)

Daniel, & Nick: Race yeah.

(they both run downstairs and when they get to the kitchen they see a woman making breakfast they kiss her on the cheek.)

Daniel: Good morning Mom.

( She smiled and then hugged him.)

Emily: Hey baby how are you doing?

Daniel: I'm doing good Mom.

Nick. I'm doing good baby.

( She laughed and kissed her husband.)

Emily: I know that baby.

( She looked back at her son with concern.)

Emily: Are you going to be okay?

( He gived his mom and confused look.)

Daniel: Yeah why?

Emily: It's just your second year of high school and last year you came out and lots of people weren't supportive of that.

( He gave his mom a soft smile.)

Daniel: I'm going to be okay Mom don't worry
.
( His dad gave him a look.)

Nick: Are you sure?

Daniel: I'm going to be just fine Dad and nothing is going to change that.

( in the Mathew household Hunter was running outside to get ready for track and his mom came outside.)

Nora: Hunter you have to get to school in 20 minutes.

Hunter: Okay Mom I'm coming inside.

( He walked into the kitchen and saw Austin his chef.)

Hunter: Salut Austin, comment vas-tu.

( Austin put two crapes in front.)

Austin: Good morning Hunter here is your breakfast.

( Hunter took a bit of it and acted like it was heaven.)

Hunter: Oh my gosh Austin this is so amazing you are a food wizard.

Austin: Thank you, Hunter.

Hunter: you are welcome.

( His Mom came back inside.)

Nora: Hunter sweetie it's time for school.
Hunter: ok maman, j'arrive

Nora: Oh and your Dad kept calling you.

( Hunter stopped in his tracks.)

Hunter: Oh he did I didn't notice.

( His mom hugged him.)

Nora: You gonna have to talk to him sooner or later.

Hunter: Okay Mom I will talk to him later now let's go I don't want to be late.

( They hugged each other and walked away.)
( And at the high school Daniel was talking to his mom.)

Daniel: I'm going to do just fine Mom.
Emily: Are you sure?

( Daniel rolled his eyes at his mom.)

Daniel: Of course Mom now let me go.

( His mom kissed his head.)

Emily: Okay sweetie you can go now.

( He smiled at his mom and left the car and when his mom left he looked at the school.)

Daniel: ( Sigh.) New school year New me.
Sara: Danny!

( Danny turned around and smiled at the one person who wanted to be friends with him after he came out.)

Daniel: Hey Sar.

( He hugged her and laughed.)

Daniel: are you happy that you are finally a freshman now?

Sara: Omg yes.

( They laughed again and Sara looked at him with a serious look.)

Sara: Are you okay?

( He gave her a smile and hugged her again.)
Daniel: Yeah I'm fine.

( She looked at him again and he rolled his eyes.)

Daniel: I'm fine seriously and If bicthes talk shit you must throw a fist.

( Sara laughed again and Imogen walked up to them.)

Imogen: Hey Sara.
( Sara turned around and smiled.)

Sara: Oh hey Imogen this is Daniel my gbf.

( Imogen gives him a sweet smile and shakes his hand.)

Imogen: Nice to meet you, Daniel.

Daniel: Nice to meet you too Imogen.

Imogen: What does gbf mean if I ask?

Sara, & Daniel: Gay best friend.

( They all laugh.)

Sara: Now my beautiful people let's go inside.

( They linked arms and laughed.)

( Everyone was in their first class of the day of the day and for Hunter It was science he walked inside the class and looked around.)

Finn: Hello are you in here for first-period science?

( Hunter turned to his right and looked at the teacher.)

Hunter: Yeah I am.

Finn: What is your full name?

Hunter: Hunter Mathews.

( Finn looked at him then back at his placement sheet.)

Finn: Ah here it is Hunter Mathews you would be sitting by Daniel Grayson.

( He pointed to the back of the classroom and There he was with his Goggles on and looking at the beaker tubes.)

Hunter: Okay thanks, Sir.

( He walks up to the table and looks at the paper in front of him with the most confusing look of his life.)

Hunter: ( Whisper.) How can someone understand all of these fucking things?

Daniel: Do you need help dude?

( Hunter looked at Daniel with a soft smile.)

Hunter: Yeah thank you so much.

( He gives Daniel his paper and Daniel looks at it and laughs.)

Daniel: Oh come on this is the easiest assignment ever but I will help you anyway.

( Hunter was now blushing.)

Hunter: Thank you, Daniel.

( it was now Daniels's turn to blush.)

Daniel: You welcome Hunter.

( They smiled at each other.)
