Stella knew they should have caught a cab to take them to Vernon's family home but the two decided to walk, taking a detour to the convenience store to buy Sofia the supplies that she needed. It felt like old times, before they became idols, and Stella didn't want to ruin the moment. 

"sooo... how you been?" Stella asks nudging him with her shoulder 

Vernon glances at her suspiciously "why, what do you want?" 

"dude, i just wanted to know how you've been damn forget i asked" Stella says wrapping her arms around herself 

he laughs and says "i'm good, i guess" 

"you guess?" she asks the wind blowing her hair and making it go all over her face, Vernon notices this and helps her pull her hair back, the two giggling in the process 

"you don't have a hair tie or something" he asks her 

"yeah, i have a hair clip" she says and pulling it out to clip her hair back 

"that's better" he says with a smile and patting down her hair with a soft expression 

Stella looks away immediately "come on, Sof's waiting for us" 

"where you going to ask me something before? cause it seemed like you were" Vernon then says to her 

She stays quiet for a bit, contemplating if it would serve any good to ask him but in the end she gives in "how's things with that girl you're seeing?" 

"ah... um its okay but i'm planning on ending things anyway" he answers placing his hands in his pocket 

"you didn't like her that much?" Stella asks and he shakes his head as he watches her 

"no not that much" he softly says as their arms kept brushing against each other as they walked through the cold, unaware that there were people taking notice of the two and taking pictures of them together.

without greeting Sofia grabbed the supplies off of Vernon and Stella the second they stepped into the home and fled into the bathroom. Stella went to go follow her and stopped by the door, tapping lightly. 

"do you need help with anything?" Stella asks her gently through the door 

"no i'm okay, mum has taught me what to do if it came. thank you though" Sofia answers 

"are you in any pain?" Stella asks now

"no, i'm okay. i just wasn't expecting it to come" Sofia says 

Stella nods her head "mhmm, Han and i brought you medicine if you need" 

"thank you" she says back sincerely 

and Stella heads back to where she left Vernon. finding him in his old room, going through some of his stuff. 

"what was it that you wanted to grab?" Stella asks him

"one of my beanies, i can't seem to find it" He answers her but he clearly wasn't finding what he needed 

"which one?" Stella asks him, looking around his room. it's been a while since she was last in his childhood home and brought back memories from when they were younger
