icarus reassessed
he spent years watching his greatest desire
burn without him and
though he knew the danger of her touch
there was nothing he could do but pursue her
anyway
why has this gone down in history as a lesson
on restraint? an unworthy rapacity?
an ache of this degree is not something that can be
soothed without touch
