I was making myself a delicious strawberry açaí lemonade, when I heard Mikey screaming in terror that I created a ice shuriken and ran to where he's camping. Ready to protect the adorably innocent turtle when I realized he was watching something scary on Donnie's tablet that he dropped it as it fell near Leo and April.
Leo: Uh, what'cha watching, Miguel?
Mikey: Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh! I was just watching my favorite can-stacking channel!
April: Can stacking
Vanessa: Okay?
Mikey: It's a thing. There's this one supermarket stock boy. He builds forts, towers, national monuments!
Leo: Yeah, I see his channel has a like, unlike my dear beloved foxy here has 1 billion likes from her last post
Mikey: I would've like it twice if I could. Anyway, he's at the store after hours, and you gotta see this
Vanessa: The Gumbus? Huh? What is that?
Mikey clicked on the video and stock boy attempting to complete the most difficult stack of all, the lady liberty stack. When all of the sudden a couple of cans clattered loudly when all of the sudden something paranormal happened to him as he screamed and his flashlight was showed until we saw him again being dragged while shouting "It's the Gumbus."
April/Vanessa: Whoa~! What's a Gumbus?
Mikey: It's a ghost that haunts the Stock & Shop!
Leo: Of, pfft! There's gotta be a simple answer. Earthquake, magnets, giant prankster mice. There's no such thing as ghost
Vanessa: I don't know Leo, normally I would lean to special effect or some kind of behind the scene sets but sometimes the paranormal has it's strange ways of convincing people that they're here and haven't walked into the afterlife
Leo: No way
Mikey: What?! [falls flat] [grunts] how can you say there's no such thing as ghosts? When there's such a thing as us?
Vanessa: He's gotcha there, Leonardo
Mikey: The Gumbus is real
April: Only one way to settle this heated debate
Vanessa: Yup!
April/Vanessa: We head up to the Stock & Shop and tamper with they mysterious forces of the underworld
April laughed wickedly while I laughed along with her, this day just got interesting.
Mikey: Uh... [nervous chuckles] I'm fine just getting the pants scared off of me in my pillow fort
Leo: Oh no, April and my beautiful little fox is right. I'm gonna prove to you there's no such thing as a Gumbus
We all headed out to go solve this mystery, as we entered through the vents. Although we weren't as stealthy as we thought we could've been, we kept crashing and bumping into things until Leo and Mikey landed first on the solid floor while April and I landed on top of them along with a vacuum cleaner too.
Leo: Ow~ ! Mikey, why do you have that thing?
Mikey: To suck up the ghost. It's line with tinfoil to keep him in
April: [stands up] Guys, check this out. This place is like Christmas morning for food
Mikey: This place is creepy
Vanessa: Creepy or awesome?
April: Answer
Vanessa/April: Both!
[Metallic jangling]
Mikey: What was that?
Leo: [sigh] What?
[Soft clicking]
Mikey: [gasp] I heard something
Leo: Ugh
Vanessa: Huh?
We all raised our flashlights to only see a toy train whistle blowing, no ghost at all.
Leo: A model train. Simple answer [laughs hauntily]
Mikey: Gah!!! What kind of sicko puts a model train in a grocery store?
April: Focus, guys. We came here to see a ghost, and a ghost we shall see
I noticed Mikey shrieking and whimpering all over, making me feel bad for him. However, what made me laugh so hard was when Mikey activated the vacuum as it started to suck Leo mouth while he shouted "ghost!"
