⌊A/N: Hey guys! Author here! Finally managed to finish this chapter. Took me a while to do so since I'm just slow at writing. Had a little bit of writers' block when writing this chapter, something that I wish just never happened again (I might've jinxed myself here so...to my future self....I'm really sorry (っ'Ι')っ). Actually, I don't know how big the buildings inside Mindustry are so I've decided that a single tile would be equal to 50m in both length and width. For how high the buildings in question...I might leave that at random, same goes for the size of the various units in-game. I've also decided to add in GIFs and images of both units and towers from both the base game and from the mods I mentioned in the Author's Notes chapter (Exogenesis and New Horizons) for visual help? Should I keep adding them or no? Should I also add in the pictures of the factory buildings that were mentioned in this chapter? I'll leave that to you guys. In any case, this chapter's shorter than my previous one by about...3k words. Also, 1k viewers *cue confetti throw*. To all my readers who've kept on reading this little story of mine, I really appreciate your love and patience for each chapter that I wrote. Forgot to mention (something that I might add to chapter 4), any and all mentions of music in this chapter is not owned by me and solely belongs to its rightful owners. Anyways, that'll be all and enjoy the chapter :)⌋

Cold.

Desolate.

And serene.

For many years, these plains were uninhabited by any form of human life. Only grass and a small amount of of both plant and animal life were able to survive these harsh conditions. As the morning sun begins to rise, the once dark landscape begins to reveal itself into the light. A small layer of snow covers the entirety of the plains, creating a vivid layer of white with small patches of green dotted around. As the minutes pass by, the sky itself begins to brighten; an orange hue at first but slowly it was turning into its usual blue color, with small clouds littering the clear horizons above. In the distance was a mountain range stretching from one end of the terrain to the other; their peaks covered in colorless beauty.

Though the one thing that stood out the most from this picturesque landscape was the lone and perfectly-shaped square building that was in the middle of the field. The building itself wasn't all that large, being over 150m in both length & width and half that in height; a prominent color of grey being its color scheme with a mix of yellow markings having been painted onto it. For a while it did nothing, and nothing more had happened after that. At least, that's what it had looked like on the outside, for something was happening within the building itself. Various checks and diagnostics within its systems were being done while Photon-Based Particle Reconstructing Fabricators (P-BPRF) are printing out a single, small craft, one that is crucial in every Core that it builds: a command-type craft. Once the fabrication was completed, the drone began to levitate towards the air, seemingly scanning its immediate environment for any potential threat that could harm the base of operations that it is currently trying to set up, a lesson it learned from its initial encounter with the ancient core from Midantha, one that it chose not to repeat again.
