Little Sari

Little Sari was a young girl and she dreamed for everything in the world,

Toys, dresses, and dolls were what she desired,

And they were the small things that got her inspired.

Life was perfect as a pearl for the little girl.

Her parents loved her to death,

And promised they would until their last breath.

She was happy and content,

Even if she didn’t understand what it meant.

Years went by and everything became a lie,

Years went by and she wished she could die.

Little Sari was a teenage girl and she dreamed for everything in the world

Lack of hips, flat stomach, and a chest made her sour,

So she wished she could have them in less than an hour.

Beauty was what she lust

because it had always been a must.

Life became miserable over the years,

And turned to days of fears and tears.

Her parents broke their promise faster then light,

And she began to wish for an armored knight.

Faith was lost,

and her life was covered in frost.

A skinny stomach was what she had,

but they way she earned it was considered bad.

Food had become a stranger,

And if she starved anymore she’d be in danger.

She had scarred wrists that need to be kissed,

but no one seems to give a shit.

Her thighs were uneven and scratched,

And she had a heart that needed to be patched.

Depression had taken over her life in less than a night,

And people began to cringe at her sight.

An empty pill bottle laid on the floor and little Sari was no more.
